Saturday and Sunday, the city of Tulsa says city utility customers can dump storm debris and other items for free at Quarry Landfill on East 46th Street North.
The open hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The landfill closes promptly at 3 p.m.
Residents must show a current City of Tulsa utility bill or a driver’s license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.
Officials say tree and yard trimmings can be disposed of at the landfill, but to avoid long-wait lines, Tulsans can specifically dispose of green waste free of charge at the City’s Mulch Site, 2100 North 145th East Avenue from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, excluding city holidays.
There are state-imposed fees for discarding tires. The fee is $2 per tire for City of Tulsa customers during Free Landfill Days.
