Minor Storm Damage, No Reported Injuries In Verdigris

<p>Wednesday night, a storm that started in Owasso moved east to the Verdigris area and caused minor damage.</p>

Tornadoes and severe storms have damaged several areas across northeast Oklahoma.

Wednesday night, a storm that started in Owasso moved east to the Verdigris area.

It didn’t cause as much damage as it did in Owasso, but there was some minor damage done, including downed trees and fences along with damage to roofs and barns.

No injuries have been reported.

Two residents said they could see the funnel from Stone Canyon in Owasso move east towards them.

“We went and took cover, and then immediately as it passed over I went outside and then saw it reform,” they said.

One of the residents, a paramedic, said once it was safe in the area he went to check on his neighbors to make sure they were safe.
