Dal Archer has been chasing storms for over 20 years, capturing the power and beauty of nature's most extreme weather events. For the past 15 years, Dal has been reporting on winter weather and tracking the perilous spring storms that traverse the Sooner State as a storm chaser for News On 6.
Throughout his career, Dal has been on the front lines of numerous tornado events, including the historic Moore and El Reno tornadoes in 2013, the awe-inspiring Lookeba wedge tornado in 2011, the devastating Hennessey tornado outbreak in 2008, and the Mulvane, Kansas outbreak in 2004.
Born and raised in Kellyville, Oklahoma, Dal is a true native of the Sooner State. He graduated from Kellyville High School before earning his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. In addition to his storm chasing pursuits, Dal is also the Director of Information Technology for Kellyville Public Schools, where he has worked for the past 25 years.
When he's not chasing storms or working with technology, Dal enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their children, Summer and Paten. He and his family are actively involved in Lexington Road Family Church, and Dal also enjoys fishing, metal detecting and following OU sports.
