First Oklahoma Trader Joe's Store Now Open In Tulsa

Folks lined up early Friday for the opening of Tulsa's newest grocery store.  

The first Trader Joe's store in Oklahoma officially opened its doors at 8 a.m.  

The store located at 3702 South Peoria Avenue is about 10,000 square feet and features traditional Trader Joe’s cedar-covered walls with a local flare, including art that celebrates the neighborhood.  

Trader Joe's began in 1958 in the Los Angeles area.  Since then, the company has expanded to more than 440 stores in 41.
