Tulsa Police made an arrest connected to a sexual assault reported by a Hale High School student Thursday.
Police arrested 18-year-old Sean Adams on complaint of first-degree rape of a 17-year-old female classmate with special needs.
Police said Thursday, Adams grabbed the girl's arm, walked her off campus and took her behind a nearby business' dumpster.
The victim said Adams took off his pants and told her to perform sexual acts and the 17 year old said "no." She told police Adams got angry, sexually assaulted her and told her to "stop tripping."
According to police, the assault was reported around 1:00 Thursday afternoon and Adams turned himself in around 5:30 p.m. Police said Adams eventually admitted to the assault but initially denied it.
As a result of the interview and investigation, Adams was placed under arrest and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for first-degree rape and forcible sodomy.
Police said they have a lot of physical evidence connecting Adams to the crime.
"We went out and conducted an investigation, developed a lead on a suspect and actually were able to locate and affect an arrest on that suspect this evening," said Tulsa Police Officer Chris Elliott.
Police say the victim received treatment at a local hospital and is recovering.
