A downtown Tulsa building scheduled to be sold Tuesday morning at a sheriff's auction has been taken off the auction list.

City of Tulsa officials say the eight-story building's owner, C.J. Morony, has paid all back taxes owed.

Officials say the Sinclair building located at 5th and Main has been on the auction block before due to those back taxes, but each time bankruptcy filings took the building off the auction list.

After the Oklahoma Supreme Court denied a stay of the scheduled auction, Tulsa’s city attorney says Morony paid $274,561.32 by cashiers check.

They say he did that Tuesday morning prior to the start of the auction.
