Tulsa crime scene detectives are trying to figure out how a man's body ended up inside a minivan parked at a hotel. Police say someone found the body sitting in the driver's seat of the car late Saturday.
Authorities are investigating the death as suspicious.
Both doors of the minivan were open when someone spotted the body sitting in the driver's seat at a van parked outside the Marriott Courtyard on 79th East Avenue near 31st and Memorial. Police were notified around 11 p.m.
The medical examiner and homicide detectives were called to the scene.
Officers can only say the man is around 25 years old, and there is no indication the van was stolen. It had Oklahoma plates.
"Right now we're starting to talk to people in the hotel behind us to see if they heard anything, saw anything that maybe around 11 o'clock or earlier when somebody first saw the van," said Corporal Dan Miller, Tulsa Police.
Miller said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body. The Medical Examiner's office will make the final determination on cause of death.
