News On 6 reporter Emory Bryan captured video of a meteor in the sky over Tulsa Monday evening.
Bryan recorded the video with a dashcam he mounted in his car quite some time ago.
He was headed east at 7:01 p.m. on the Broken Arrow Expressway and had just passed the 21st Street exit when the meteor appeared heading north to south.
"Broke up going south, out of view of camera, but I could see it," he said.
It's most likely the meteor is part of the Taurid meteor shower. The shower is caused by Earth passing through a cloud of debris from Comet Encke.
On October 31, many people in Poland witnessed a spectacular meteor on Halloween night which was captured on video. It might have been a Taurid but scientists aren't sure yet.
The Taurids appear to come from the constellation Taurus and that's where they got their name.
