OSBI Opens Criminal Investigation Of McAlester Public Schools

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says it launched a criminal probe at McAlester Public Schools Thursday.

"We were requested by the McAlester Police Department to open an investigation,"  said Jessica Brown, communications director for the OSBI.

The investigation is focused on official misconduct by a member of the McAlester Public School District, according to Brown.

Brown said the OSBI began the investigation at the request of the McAlester Police Department. She would not release any more details.
