An Oklahoma family says their son is losing his fight for life after a heart transplant earlier this year. Riyley Beck had a viral heart infection last fall and got a second chance in April when he received a new heart.
Through Riyley thrived for a time following the transplant and got to celebrate his sixth birthday, supporters say he had to return to a St. Louis hospital when his organs began to fail. Doctors told family members it is time to say goodbye, and they expect to do so on Sunday.
"We had a special remembrance ribbon made up and are encouraging people to use this as their profile picture on Sunday," supporters said on the family's Facebook page, Fightin' For Riley.
"Let's flood their news feed with love and support, honoring sweet Riyley. At dusk, we encourage people to light a candle or share a special prayer/post/positive words for the family. You can take pics and tag this page - let those lights shine bright for heaven's newest Oklahoma angel."
We've attached Riyley's remembrance ribbon to this story for use on Facebook. You can show support at their Facebook page or help with expenses at their GoFundMe page.
