Part of a Tulsa landmark is getting a makeover.
ConsumerAffairs is gutting the top two floors of the Petroleum Club Building at 6th and Boulder
The organization has been in Tulsa since 2010. It's plans to use the floors to add 100 employees to its current staff of 120.
It says it's considering acquiring another six floors of the building if the growth continues.
The Chief Operating Officer says they had a few requirements that included parking and an outdoor area and he knew this space would be perfect.
"I know now there are people with a lot of great memories here. A lot of people have gotten married here. We have employees that have joked about family photos here. We respect that and we hope to do a good job at representing this space in the future," said Eric Jenkins, ConsumerAffairs.
The budget for the renovation is $1.1 million and ConsumerAffairs has signed a six-year lease. It hopes to move in this December.
ConsumerAffairs is a web-based consumer advocacy organization which lists Lake Tahoe, Nevada as its headquarters.
