The Tulsa Shock will soon be a Dallas team, unless a lawsuit filed by one of the minority owners stops the move.

Minority Owner Stuart Price is challenging Majority Owner Bill Cameron, who made the decision to relocate the WNBA team, calling Cameron a liar.

The move would cost Tulsa hundreds of jobs, and while the WNBA Board of Governors still must vote on the move, Price said Cameron's bad call is "ripping the heart" out of our community.

"I have filed a lawsuit this afternoon," he announced at a news conference Monday evening. "I think that we've been wronged in a lot of respects."

Following the announcement Monday that the Tulsa Shock will leave Tulsa for Dallas, Price accused Cameron of setting up the city of Tulsa.

"He's been deliberately plotting for some time to relocate the franchise of the Tulsa Shock to Texas," said Price.

In a lawsuit filed Monday, Price alleges that when he invested $250,000 to become part-owner of the team, it was represented that the Tulsa Shock would "remain in Tulsa," but details of the relocation were "concealed from the minority owners" of the team.

It goes on to say that to relocate the team would "require a super majority vote."

"Bill Cameron is a purported loyal Oklahoman. With this move that he's announcing, that we're fighting, he's taking away a $20-$30 million economic impact," Price said.

Sources tell News On 6 Sports the WNBA franchise has lost a million dollars every year since coming to Tulsa.

A statement from Cameron reads, "This is a very difficult decision, and I know it is particularly difficult for the Tulsa investors...After a thorough review, I believe the Dallas-Fort Worth area holds the greatest potential to achieve our long-term business objectives."

Sunday, people like Vanessa Finley protested a move in a plea to save the team.

"We love our Shock. They are such great role models in the community," she said.

Price said, "It's just sad what this man is trying to do to this community."
