Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released more information about a weather-related wreck that killed an Oklahoma woman on the Muskogee Turnpike Friday afternoon. Troopers say the wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. in heavy rain.
Mary Patricia Kidd of Sallisaw died in the crash.
Troopers say Kidd was northbound on the turnpike near Webbers Falls when she lost control of her car due to wet roadways. Her 2009 Chevrolet crossed the center lane into the path of a southbound semi-truck, according to a collision report.

Kidd, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 7-year-old boy in the car is listed in critical condition at an Arkansas hospital with head and internal injuries. A 12-year-old girl passenger is said to be stable with head, arm, leg and internal injuries. Their names aren't being released.
The truck driver wasn't hurt.
Investigating troopers aren't sure if seat belts were in use in the Chevrolet or not, the collision report states. Kidd was in apparently normal condition at the time of the wreck. OHP says the wreck was caused by unsafe speed on a wet roadway.
