Former University of Missouri guard Kim English is expected to join Frank Haith's coaching staff at Tulsa, a source close to the situation told News On 6 Sports.
English played for Haith during the 2011-12 season at Mizzou. It was English's senior year and Haith's first year after replacing Mike Anderson.
He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft, and played in 41 games during the 2012-13 season. Since being released by the Pistons in 2013, English has played for teams in Italy, France, and Venezuela.
The 6-foot-6 guard was named the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player when the Tigers won the conference championship in 2012.
English was part of the winningest class in Missouri history with 107 victories in four years.
The University of Tulsa has not publicly confirmed the hire.
A source close to the situation says it is not expected to be made official until mid-June.
