The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Tulsa man Sunday near Park City, Kansas.

Deputies told KWCH, the CBS affiliate in Wichita, Kansas,  Dale Childress, 56, died from a gunshot wound.

They said his body was found on a county road at about 6 p.m. on February 15, 2015.  The sheriff's office said Childress' death is the first homicide in their county this year.

Authorities are looking for a 2001-2005 Buick LeSabre seen in the area prior to the discovery of Childress' body.

According to Oklahoma Department of Corrections records Dale Childress was released from prison in 2010 following a drug possession conviction out of Tulsa County.

Wednesday, Tulsa homicide detectives served a warrant at Childress's home. Detectives wanted to talk to him about a double murder that happened in Tulsa November 26, 2014.
