Services are planned for a volunteer firefighter who died Thursday morning after collapsing in his firehouse. Cliff Sanders in Caney, Kansas had answered the page for help to fight grass fires.
He made it to the station and was heading out to a grass fire, when he collapsed.
Sanders died this Thursday morning, January 29, 2015, at a Tulsa hospital. He had been fighting fires for 24 years.
The 55-year-old Sanders died of a stroke, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February, 3, 2015, at Caney. Firefighters are planning a tribute for their fallen brother, according to the Caney Fire Department.
