Interstate 44 at the Broken Arrow Expressway was closed for more than three hours Sunday evening due to a fatality wreck, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.
According to OHP Lt. Vern Wilson, a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Shane Williams, 42, of Broken Arrow struck a 2004 Dodge Intrepid on Interstate 44 eastbound, then took the exit ramp to Broken Arrow Expressway eastbound, lost control, hit a barrier wall and rolled two and a half times.
The OHP report says Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, Macy Hearn, 20, of Broken Arrow was not injured.
Troopers said I-44 eastbound to the BA Expressway eastbound was closed at 7:15 p.m. Sunday and reopened about 10:30 p.m.
The OHP investigation into the crash continues.
