Negotiators for the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County haven't reached an agreement over booking fees, but they say they're making progress.
The current contract between the city and the county ends Friday night, October 31, 2014. The county hopes to recover more of the costs of booking and housing the city inmates, but city leaders objected to the large hike.

Both sides appointed groups to negotiate a new deal. The group met Friday and will continue to meet on Monday.
Although a complete agreement has not been reached yet, some common ground has been found between both parties.
County commissioners approved new fees several weeks ago and the county will start charging them to the city on Saturday, November 1, 2014.
If the county and the city reach an agreement by the end of November, the new agreement will be retroactive back to November 1st. If the two sides don't reach an agreement by the end of the month, the county will bill the city for the entire month at the new rate.
