South Tulsa Police Chase Ends With Car On Its Side

A police chase in south Tulsa ends with a Lexus on its side on Highway 169.

Police said they caught a driver speeding and driving recklessly on 71st Street. An officer tried to stop him before he got onto the highway, but couldn't.

The car raced into heavy traffic, pinballed off a Lexus SUV, which flipped as many as three times.

"I know the three people, a woman and two young children in the Lexus, and they're fine," said Corporal Mike Hanley, TPD.

Only one lane of the highway is open while the crews work to clean up the mess.
