Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported the length of the prison sentence given to Lee. The judge sentenced him to two 30-year terms to be served concurrently, with three years suspended. News On 6 regrets the error.
A judge sentenced a man who locked his four-year-old stepson in a dog crate and sexually abused a 14-year-old girl to 27 years in prison.
In May, Johnathon Lee said he was disciplining his stepson because of behavior issues. Wednesday, a judge called his behavior heinous.

Court documents detail child abuse at the hands of Lee, 32. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced without a trial.
“It's really shocking to have a child put in a dog cage the length of time he was in a dog cage for, and that's what people get shocked about,” said Reagan Reininger, Assistant District Attorney.
Court papers say he’d force the kids to sit in a corner, curse at the children and call them names and limit their food.
Suzanne Satterfield watched her children be abused but said she was too pregnant and too tired to deal with it.
“One of the sisters, the oldest one, was having to sneak toys to him while he was in the dog cage overnight. It's just a whole traumatic story,” Reininger said.
Lee will have to register as a sex offender for life.
Satterfield also pleaded guilty, but her attorney wasn't there so she will be sentenced August 7th.
