Two Die In Muskogee County Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two are dead following a head-on crash on Highway 16 west of Muskogee late Monday.

Troopers said a 2000 Ford Windstar van driven by Joseph Sabella II, 48, of Fort Gibson was eastbound when crossed the center line and struck a westbound 1996 Toyota car driven by Carol Gonzalez, 68, of Haskell.

The crash occurred at 10:37 p.m.

The OHP report states there was an odor of alcohol beverage on Sabella. Troopers said the impact threw Sabella, who was not wearing his seat belt from his van. He was taken to a Muskogee hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
