News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says while there is no threat of severe weather, the storms could produce pockets of moderate to heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds near 40 mph as they move eastward.
The showers are expected to continue throughout the day. Crone says the showers are ahead of a weak front moving out of Kansas into Oklahoma.
