Skiatook firefighters are back in the station Monday morning after a grass fire that burned about 30 acres, according to Fire Chief Chad Collins.
"We still have some smoke showing, and we have someone out there monitoring it today," he said.
Troopers slowed down traffic on Highway 20 near Morgan's Corner Sunday evening as smoke from the wildfire blew across the road.
The Osage County Sheriff's Office says the fire started around 5 p.m. by Skiatook Lake and moved toward the highway.
"Wind was a major player, and it was going uphill," Collins said. Crews lit a backfire to get the fire under control.
Collins said no structures were damaged, and there have been no injuries. The cause is still under investigation.
