A fire at a Eufaula RV Park off Highway 150 destroyed 12 trailers and damaged several more, according to the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office.

A resident called in the fire at about 7 p.m. Friday at the Twin Rivers Estates, authorities say. It started in a recreational vehicle then spread to other trailers.

The heat of the fire caused several propane tanks to explode. There were no injuries among residents, authorities say. Many of the trailers are reportedly used as lake homes and weren't occupied Friday night.

Six volunteer fire departments worked to put out the fire. One firefighter was mildly injured but not transported.

The Sheriff's Office said Texana Fire Department was just leaving the trailer park Saturday afternoon.

State Fire Marshals are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
