Skiatook police have identified the woman found stabbed to death in her home Monday evening.
Police say she was Esther Driskell, 71.
Police said the Medical Examiner's Office told them Driskell died from multiple stab wounds. A man who said he was Driskell's son told News On 6 Tuesday that she lived in the house at Oak and C Streets with her two grandsons, aged 17 and 19.
He said a girl visiting the home found Driskell's body and called police just before 6 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014.
Skiatook Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the home. They say they have a person of interest but won't say anything more about who the person is.
"We are following all potential leads at this point. There are some people we need to talk to. We are still looking for any witnesses, anyone who has been around or seen anything today and we will continue to follow every lead that we get," said Skiatook Police Detective Shane Thompson.
