Ceremony Honors 83 WWII Vets Headed To DC On Honor Flight

Eighty-three World War II veterans from Oklahoma will board an Honor Flight to Washington, DC, Wednesday, to see the memorial in their honor.

Eighty-three World War II veterans from Oklahoma will board an Honor Flight to Washington, DC, Wednesday, to see the memorial in their honor.

Tuesday night, people gathered to send them off in style. A ceremony was held at the Spirit Bank Event Center in Bixby.

Cadets from the Thunderbird Youth Academy and Bixby JROTC members helped with the patriotic parade.

The flight leaves from Tulsa airport early Wednesday morning.
