Tulsa Father Found Guilty Of Murder In 2-Month-Old's 2007 Death

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported that O'Neal was sentenced to life without parole. The jury did recommend that punishment after returning its guilty verdict, but the judge will decide the actual sentence. 

A jury Tuesday found a Tulsa father guilty of murdering his 2-month-old girl.

The jury recommended Gregory O'Neal be sentenced to life without parole.

His daughter died in 2007. She had a fractured skull, crushed bones, and internal bleeding.

The baby's mother, Tamara Matthews, is also charged with child abuse murder. Her trial is scheduled to begin in March.

O'Neal is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
