The storms that slammed Tulsa Tuesday night went on to hit Tahlequah.
The rain was too much for Town Branch Creek, as water made its way into one family's home.
Firefighters had to help the mother and her three children escape.
"Last night, with the five-inch rainfall that happened within about an hour, the creek rose very quickly," said Scott Pettus, of Cherokee County Emergency Management.
Like so many other towns in the path of the storm, there were downed trees everywhere in Tahlequah Wednesday.
County officials say they also have reports of some roof damage to barns.
