Tulsa's "Center of The Universe," on the Boston Avenue pedestrian bridge downtown, is lending its name to a new summer music festival featuring 11 bands.

Set for July 19-20, 2013, the festival will be headlined by One Republic, fronted by Tulsa's own Ryan Tedder, and alternative rock band Neon Trees.

There will be two stages, one across from Cain's Ballroom and the other at Guthrie Green.

"There's a feeling that seems to be prevalent, mostly among people who have never been to Tulsa, that this is kind of a 'fly-over' city, somewhere where you see out your airplane window on your way from one place to your destination. And we'd like to re-brand Tulsa as a destination," said festival producer Philip Kaiser.
