At least two state highways in Pittsburg County were closed Wednesday morning due to high water.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says about 14 miles of Highway 63 between Haileyville and Bache Road were closed because of high water.

State Highway 31 from the industrial Park west of McAlester to Haywood and the junction of state Highway 31A south of Stuart to Haywood was also closed.

Pittsburg County is one of several counties under a flood watch Wednesday, April 3, 2013. The other counties include Latimer, LeFlore and Pushmataha.

The National Weather Service says two to four inches of rain have already fallen across the area and another inch is expected Wednesday.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office reports no evacuations.

Flooding in rural Latimer County caused the Panola School District to close Wednesday.

ODOT cautions drivers to heed warning signs and to not drive around barricades.
