The Fairfield Inn and Suites, the Brady Arts District's latest hotel, is scheduled to open Wednesday afternoon
It's the latest development in the Brady District to open its doors. Crews were putting on the finishing touches Tuesday.
The 69,000-plus square foot building is home to a number of businesses.
Number one on the list, though, is the Fairfield Inn and Suites.
"We're excited. It's been a long process, a great process, but we're ready to cross the finish line," said the hotel's general manager, Steve Fischer.

Fischer said the 104-room hotel is very different from other Fairfield Inns across the country.
It has an indoor pool and a fitness center, but he said the design is what sets it apart. The reservation desk and dining area, for example, are on the second floor.
Fischer said the layout fits in well with the Brady Arts District.
"It's very eclectic in this district and being able to offer more food options, more nightlife options—it just makes us more a part of the neighborhood," Fischer said.
The ground floor of the building, more than 11,000 square feet, has been set aside for retail shops or restaurants.
One of those is the Prhyme Steakhouse.
"It's a play off prime beef and the herb thyme," said TC LeRoy.
The steakhouse is set to open November 28. Its owners say they wanted to jump on the bandwagon that's developing in the Brady District.
"Absolutely love what's going on downtown. All the growth and activity down here—had an opportunity to do this concept down here in the Brady District. There's so much going on down here, [we] thought it'd be a great place to do it," LeRoy said.
Steve Fischer at Fairfield said he agrees. He said the vibe being created in the Brady District is one of a kind.
"The community feel down here is excellent and everybody is very eager to work together," Fischer said.
Fairfield offers free parking for its guests and the cost for a room is anywhere between $109 and $139 per night.
