The Red Cross said Tuesday night that 209 homes were destroyed by wildfires in Creek County. That's according to its most recent damage assessment.

A violation of the burn ban may be the reason those 209 families are homeless.

Investigators say the fires that burned 90 square miles and torched dozens of homes were likely sparked by two people burning trash, both of whom could face criminal charges.

So far, though, no arrests have been made.

Creek County has been under a burn ban for more than a month.  The whole state has been under a burn ban ordered by the governor for at least a week.
