Editor's note: The Highway Patrol listed the name of the younger victim as Andres Ernest Woodring. Family members tell us his first name is Andrew.
One man is dead and another is missing after a boat capsized on Kaw Lake, off the Arkansas River, said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's Lake Patrol division.
The accident occurred at 11 p.m. Sunday.
Andrew Ernest Woodring, Jr., 19, from Kaw City, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Joseph Dean Shrader, 32, from Ponca City had not been located late Monday evening.
Authorities said Woodring and Shrader went out at dark with Andrew Carson Ancell, 43, Ponca City, to run their jug lines. The boat then started to fill with water and capsized.
All three men attempted to swim to shore.
Woodring was pulled to shore by Ancell, who was not injured, but Shrader has not yet been found.
OHP said the boat was not equipped with personal floatation devices.
An OHP spokesperson said the recovery effort has been suspended due to darkness and will resume on Tuesday morning.
