A Broken Arrow man is in the Tulsa County jail trying to steal two vehicles by using a knife and an "infected syringe" Sunday evening, according to police.
In both cases, Benjamin Bichalski, 27, left before getting the keys to the vehicles.
Tulsa Police say Bichalski used a knife to take the keys from a victim in the 1700 South 145th East Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. When the victim pulled a handgun, Bichalski ran away, according to the police report.
A short time later, police say Bichalski approached some victims in a yard in the 1500 block of South 145th East Avenue and told them he had an infected syringe. The victims told police they saw an object in Bichalski's hand and he was thrusting it at him.
A short time later, Tulsa Police found Bichalski and arrested him.
Police say they believe Bichalski is the same man who was found sleeping in a stolen van in the 1800 block of South 139th East Avenue at about 8:30 p.m.
In all three cases, police say the victims identified him.
Bichalski was booked into the Tulsa County jail on two complaints of attempted robbery with a firearm/dangerous weapon and one complaint of possession of a stolen vehicle.
His bond is $104,000. Bichalski's next court date is May 16, 2012.
