Tulsa Teacher Suspended With Pay After Wagoner County Drug Bust

News On 6 has confirmed that Jennifer Lee Willis, 27, is a teacher at East Central Junior High School.

Further investigation by News On 6 has uncovered that one of the women arrested in Tuesday's Wagoner drug bust is a Tulsa teacher.

An official with the TPS public information office confirmed to News On 6 Wednesday morning that Jennifer Lee Willis, 27, has been a teacher at East Central Junior High School since August 8, 2008.

Later Wednesday, TPS said Willis had been suspended with pay pending an investigation.

The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office arrested eight Friday night for allegedly dealing drugs in the county.

Four more people, including Willis, were arrested Tuesday for alleged involvement in the drug ring. 

Michael Thomas Jenkins, 31; Sammy Dean McKinney, 39; and Willis were arrested at a home in the 700 block of South Lincoln in the city of Wagoner.

Roy Gene Jenkins Jr., 40, was arrested at his place of work, Keystone Chevrolet in Sand Springs. He is wanted for intent to sell drugs near a school.

To bring down the ring, called one of the county's biggest ever, Wagoner County deputies have been working undercover, even posing as criminals inside their own jail.

In all, 18 people have been arrested in the ongoing investigation.
