News On 6 Gets Closer To New Home

The Griffin Communications Media Center - future home of News On Six - is taking shape fast, thanks to the mild winter and a hard-working contractor.

The new building is part of the revitalization of downtown's Brady District. All of the steel on the ground floor is in place, and steel beams for the news studio will go up soon.

We're on track to begin broadcasting from there this time next year.

The building is supported by 70 giant piers that are sunk 35-feet deep. The last one was poured on Thursday.
