CATOOSA, Okla. – After opening the game on 18-2 run, there wasn’t any doubt that Booker T Washington was going to beat Tulsa Memorial. In Catoosa on Friday, the Hornets won easily 75-39.
By the end of the first quarter, Booker T held a 21-8 advantage. After a strong second quarter, the Chargers had pulled to within 31-19 at the half. But the third quarter would be dominated by Hornet senior Korey Billbury, who threw down an alley-oop and a one-handed slam to put an exclamation point on the night.
With the win, Booker T Washington wins area and advances to the 5A State Tournament. Memorial will try to make it to state on Saturday when they face Oklahoma City Southeast.
