OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Millwood Falcons took their first step toward a Class 2A Gold Ball with a 59-28 win over the Oklahoma Christian School Saints Friday.
The Falcons recorded more than 50 points for the fifth time this season with the win. However, the 28 points allowed is the second-highest total the Falcons have allowed to a 2A school this season. Oklahoma Sports Player of the Year candidate Brandon Swindall notched two TD receptions and two interceptions - one of which he returned for a score.
Millwood will host Coalgate in the second round of the Class 2A Playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at L.W. Good Stadium.
Oklahoma Christian finishes the season 4-7 and will try to improve on its 3-3 district record in 2011.
