Kingfisher Advances to 2A Championship With Win Over Millwood

YUKON, Oklahoma -- Last year, Chandler served up heartbreak sandwiches to Millwood in the quarterfinals and Kingfisher in the semifinals. Each team was sent home without a chance to win the title game.

This year, each team controlled its own destiny with Chandler nowhere in sight.

Kingfisher took advantage of its opportunities and downed Millwood 27-12 to advance to the Class 2A championship.

The Yellowjackets will take on Lincoln Christian, another victim of heartbreak in last year’s 2A semifinals.
