TULSA, Oklahoma (AP) -- University of Tulsa football coach Bill Blankenship says quarterback Shavodrick Beaver has decided to transfer from the program.
Blankenship said Beaver informed him Wednesday afternoon that he expects to enroll and play football at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The 6-foot 3-inch Beaver has played in 15 games over two seasons for the Golden Hurricane. He passed for 68 yards and rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown.
Beaver came to Tulsa in January 2009 from Wichita Falls Rider High School. He saw playing time as a true freshman that year.
Beaver was scheduled to sit out the upcoming season at Tulsa as an academic redshirt.
