TULSA, Oklahoma -- A motorcyclist is injured after being ejected from his bike in a high speed wreck late Friday night.
The rider was northbound on U.S. Highway 169 at about 11:30 p.m., "traveling in excess of 100 miles an hour," according to Tulsa Police Corporal Jeff Little.
At about 81st Street, the rider's Suzuki GSXR 600 rear ended a white Volkswagen Beetle, sending the motorcyclist crashing into the bug's rear windshield.
The motorcyclist was thrown about 100 yards from the bike before tumbling to a stop.
The Volkswagen was traveling at the speed limit, the officer said.
EMSA transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries. He was wearing a helmet, according to Little.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
