TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's getting a big boost with new development coming to downtown area. That boost is expected to bring more businesses, restaurants and parking to the area.

The development is called One Place and will be going up right in front of the BOK Center.

The first phase of the project will be to build One Place Tower.

The Tulsa Chamber says it's the first phase in the overall development of One Place.

The development will feature a new 18-story office tower and it will have approximately 330,000 square feet of office space which is already 100 percent leased.

The ground floors are set up for retail and restaurants.

The Tulsa Chamber says the main tenant in this tower is Cimarex Energy. It's an oil and gas exploration company based out of Denver.

This project includes more than 400 parking spaces.

The overall One Place development will include a hotel.

Construction is expected to begin this summer and be completed during the first quarter of 2013.

The Chamber says this will have an economic impact on downtown Tulsa of $1.8 million after three years.
