OSU Beats Kansas to Take Weekend Series
The Cowgirls picked up a 4-3 win on Sunday to even their conference record.

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Cowgirls took a two-game series from the Kansas Jayhawks with a 4-3 win Sunday in Stillwater.
Chelsea Garcia came through in the clutch for Oklahoma State, hitting a game-tying double in the bottom of the seventh inning and scoring the game-winning run off a fly out by Tamara Brown.
OSU took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning when KU starter Allie Clark gave up a pair of unearned runs.
The Jayhawks came back to tie the game in the top of the fifth., then took a 3-2 lead in the sixth.
But Oklahoma State executed to perfection in the top of the seventh. Alysia Hamilton led off with a single to right and then moved to second on a bunt. Garcia’s double brought her home to tie it up.
Brown sent a fly ball to right-center, but Garcia came around from second to score the winning run.
OSU’s Sarah Odom got the win in the circle, coming into the game in the seventh.
The Cowgirls (32-9, 3-3) will head to Norman on Wednesday to take on the Sooners at 7 p.m.
