Drillers Prepping for Season Opener

After an exciting preseason, Tulsa will kick off the 2011-12 year on Thursday night.

TULSA, Okla. – If fans weren’t already excited enough for the Drillers’ season to begin, an exhibition victory against the Colorado Rockies certainly helped.

The Drillers held the Rockies hitless for the first eight innings on their way to a 5-3 victory.

But Thursday night’s opener, despite hosting a somewhat less prominent team, will be even more important.

Tulsa players and coaches talked with Oklahoma Sports about getting the regular season going against Corpus-Christi.
