OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma City Thunder center Nenad Krstic underwent successful surgery Tuesday morning to repair the fractured second finger of his right hand. Thunder teams physicians performed the surgery.
Krstic suffered the injury in the third-place game at the FIBA World Championships in Istanbul.
Krstic averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game while helping lead Serbia to a fourth place finish at the World Championships.
He is expected to be available for the Thunder's Oct. 27 opener against the Chicago Bulls.
