OKLAHOMA CITY -- In order to make room for an NBA Developmental League call-up, the Oklahoma City Thunder waived guard/forward Matt Harpring on Monday.
A veteran of 11 NBA seasons, Harpring hasn’t played in a game this season due to injury. After being acquired along with point guard Eric Maynor in a trade with the Utah Jazz, Harpring didn’t report and is now an NBA commentator.
Filling his spot will be small forward Antonio Anderson, who the Thunder called up from the Rio Valley Grande Vipers. In 32 games with the Vipers, Anderson averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.9 assists.
Anderson, the 14th call-up from the NBDL this season, will wear uniform #8.
