Robber Dressed In Western Shirt, Cowboy Hat Holds Up South Tulsa Bank

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa police are investigating a robbery at the Commerce Bank at 81st and Sheridan Friday morning.

A man entered the bank at about 9:30 a.m. and gave the teller a note that implied he had a gun, according to Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker.  The man at first asked for low denomination bills then demanded higher denomination bills.

After the teller complied, the robber left the bank and jumped over a fence and walked into a parking lot at a nearby apartment complex.

He was last seen driving off in a single cab 1990-2000 maroon pickup truck with Oklahoma plates. The vehicle then left south on S. Sheridan.

Tulsa Police say the robber is a white male in his 30s, about 5'10" wearing a cowboy hat and Western shirt with pearl buttons.

No one was injured in the robbery.
