OKLAHOMA CITY -- The dogfight is over at the state Capitol is over. Pet breeders will be regulated after Governor Fallin signs new rules into law.
Advocates for regulation say the rules are minimal industry standards to shut down puppy mills doing business in Oklahoma, but many dog breeders fought the regulations, claiming they were too harsh.
The rules that will go into effect in July are said to be a compromise between animal advocates and breeders.
