TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa musician who has been performing professionally since 1964 has died.
Bill Pitcock IV, 59, died early Friday morning at a Tulsa hospital according to friend and fellow musician Dwight Twilley.
The website www.reverbnation.com says Bill Pitcock began performing as a guitarist with his parents' dance band in 1964.
In 1971, he began to work with the Dwight Twilley Band. He also played with the Mystery Band from 1983 to 1988.
Pitcock had recently released his first solo CD "Play What You Mean."
Tulsa musician Phil Seymour's first solo album contained two songs written by Bill Pitcock IV. "Don't Blow Your Life Away" and "Won't Finish Here."
Cause of death has not been released. Memorial arrangements are pending.
