Wildfire Near Mannford Threatened Homes

MANNFORD, Oklahoma -- Fire crews are mopping up a wildfire that scorched about 50 acres near Mannford and threatened homes in the area.

The fire was burning just east of Mannford and north of state Highway 51 on the shores of Keystone Lake.

Police said at one point,  the fire was threatening two housing subdivisions, Round Mountain and Wildwood Court.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag fire warning for the western half of the state, including Creek County.  Creek County is also under a burn ban.
